Moon phases are perfect. They show the true beauty of the moon. This design is also extremely popular right now. Nail strips are sold with the phases, but those can be somewhat pricey. Here's an alternative way to achieve the enchanting look!
Colors you will need:
-black
-white
-grey
-clear coat
-you will also need a sponge
Paint all your nails black.
Allow adequate time for it to dry.
With a white polish, make large circles on all of your nails. An easy way to do this is by painting on the eraser of a pencil. Then just press it on your nail, and all the dots will be the same!
Then, take a black striper, and begin to make moon phases. Leave the thumb alone. On your index finger, make a sight curve into the moon. On your middle finger, split the moon in half. On your ring finger, make a large curve into the moon. And on your pinkie finger, only leave a sliver of the moon.
Allow this to dry.
Take a sponge and paint on grey and black on the moons. This will create craters.
Finish with a clear coat.
