Step 1: Remove any existing nail polish.
Step 2: Buffer your nails. This will smooth out any ridges in your nails.
Step 3: Trim your cuticles. This step will create perfectly groomed nails. It will also create more nail space.
Step 4: Cut your nails. The way I do this is with nail clippers. I cut the sides on an angle and the top straight. This creates more of a square shaped nail. You can give your nails a circular shape, claw shape, square, etc. Do whatever makes you happy! If you're not comfortable with nail clippers, you can use scissors.
Step 5: File your nails. Do this to simply smooth out the edge of your nail after cutting it.
Finally, if you're not painting your nails after you do this, I recommend at least painting either a base coat or clear coat on your nails. This will protect the grooming you just did! You will most likely do this process about once a week. Enjoy! ♥
