Many people are investing into nail dotters, which if you don't know, are tools used to create the "perfect circle". Personally, I do not use nail dotters. I use the toothpicks that come in some packages with nail polish. I find that they work the same way, but other alternatives are using an old pen that has run out of ink, the end of a bobby pin, or a sewing pin. All will give you various sizes of dots, but you can use more polish to get bigger sizes. Either tool will work, it just depends with what you are most comfortable with. ♥
